Pak vs AFG: Afghanistan vs Pakistan, 1st ODI 2023 Before the 2023 Asia Cup, a three-match One Day International (ODI) series is being played between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Sri Lanka. In the first ODI of this series, Afghanistan’s bowlers took the spotlight. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Pakistan’s team couldn’t even complete 50 overs.

Afghanistan’s lethal bowling limited Pakistan’s entire team to just 201 runs in 47.1 overs. Imam-ul-Haq was the top scorer for Pakistan, making 61 runs with the help of two boundaries in 94 deliveries. Iftikhar Ahmed also scored 30 runs, and Shadab Khan provided 39 runs.

Pak vs AFG: Pakistan’s Top Order Topples in Front of Afghanistan:

Before this, Pakistan’s top order stumbled in front of Afghanistan’s bowling attack. Fakhar Zaman was out for 2, Babar Azam for 0, Agha Salman for 7, and Mohammad Rizwan for 21 runs. Pakistan had lost four wickets for just 62 runs. After that, half of Pakistan’s team had returned to the pavilion with a total of 112 runs.

For Afghanistan, left-arm fast bowler Fazalhaq Farooqi claimed one wicket by dismissing Fakhar Zaman. Following that, spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman took three wickets. Mujeeb sent Babar and Rizwan back and also got Usama Mir out.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman secured the most three wickets, while Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan took two wickets each. Rahmat Shah and Fazalhaq Farooqi also grabbed a wicket each.

Pakistan Team will be Play Asia Cup 2023 First Match on August 30 vs Nepal:

It should be noted that the 2023 Asia Cup will commence from August 30. The first match of the 2023 Asia Cup tournament will be played between host Pakistan and Nepal in Multan and final match of the tournament will be held on September 17 at Colombo, Sri Lanka. Nonetheless, the names of Indian team players were announced on Monday. The Indian team will begin their Asia Cup campaign by facing Pakistan. The India-Pakistan match is scheduled for September 2. Apart from India and Pakistan, the Asia Cup 2023 includes six teams: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal. These teams will compete in a total of 13 matches.

India will play its first match against Pakistan on September 2 at the Pallikal Stadium. At the same time, Afghanistan will play its first match against Bangladesh on September 3 in Lahore. The top four teams from both the groups will advance to the Super-Four round. The Super-Four round will start from September 6, in which all the teams will clash with each other. The top two teams in this round will meet in the final. The final will be played in Colombo on 17 September.
