From the first over, both openers came out with an aggressive mentality against Sri Lanka. Rohit Sharma, in particular, was seen batting aggressively from the first over today. On one hand, Shubman was enjoying Rohit’s batting. In the meantime, Captain Hitman scored 10,000 runs in ODI cricket.

India won the toss and elected to bat at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The Indian batsmen, who had crushed Pakistan’s strong pace bowling unit the previous day, still dominate today. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill combined for 80 runs in 11 overs. Skipper Rohit Sharma completed his career’s 51st half-century in the 13th over.
